The Radio Free QuickBooks‘ team rocked the stage at the 2013 Scaling New Heights conference. An attendee (and staff) highlight was hearing from Steve Blundell & Jill Ward during the Day 2 keynote.
Steve, sporting Mickey Mouse ears, started the conversation with a reminder of how technology shifts happen and the accounting industry moves with them.
“The first Macintosh was in the ’70s. The first IBM processor came in 1981. Then we moved from DOS to Windows and then QuickBooks® Online in 2001. Now, technology is moving to the cloud – and moving to the cloud means security, availability and responsiveness. Small businesses’ expectations are growing. They want anytime, anywhere access and we (Intuit) can support them with the cloud.”
Following Steve’s insightful chat, surprise guest Jill Ward joined the Radio Free QuickBooks team to reinforce Intuit’s® commitment to QuickBooks Desktop with her proud reinforcement, “It ain’t goin’ nowhere!” received cheers and applause by conference attendees.
Keith, one conference attendee shared, “It was good to hear Jill reaffirm that Intuit isn’t leaving QuickBooks desktop. There are a lot of folks here who are not ready to make the jump to QuickBooks Online and it is good to hear that Intuit isn’t only focusing on QuickBooks Online and that they are continuing to invest in QuickBooks desktop. It is reassuring.”
